Tornado touches down near Commerce City

DENVER – The National Weather Service said a tornado touched down Sunday afternoon between Commerce City and Denver International Airport.

There was no word on damage or injuries.

The tornado was part of a series of storms that roared through Denver. The storms also produced a funnel cloud near Highlands Ranch.
