The state 5A boys basketball tournament gets started Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the home of the higher seed.

Frederick earned the No. 5 seed and hosts 28th-seed Centaurus in the first round. Evergreen gets the 29th seed and faces No. 4 Mead in Mead. Ponderosa, the No. 13 seed, hosts Thompson Valley. Dakota Ridge takes the No. 7 seed into a first-round game against Pueblo County. Adams City has the 31st seed and visits No. 2 Mesa Ridge.

Second-round games are Saturday, Feb. 25, also at the home of the higher seed.
