Prairie View’s Steven Perez, Mitch Jergensen and Steven Sheats were second-team, all-Skyline League choices in voting by the league coaches this season.
Perez finished with a batting average of .410. Jergensen’s batting average was .423, and Sheats finished with a record of 4-3 and an earned-run average of 2.59.

Youth sports
Registration is under way for the city of Brighton’s youth sports programs.
T-ball league games (for 4- and 5-year-olds) take place June 19 to July 31. The cost is $27.
Girls softball for 6- to 12-year-olds starts June 8 and continues to July 24. Cost is $30.
Youth tennis (for ages 8 to 17) starts in two-week sessions June 1 and continues through Aug. 13. Cost is $32 per two-week session.
The Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics’ youth track program starts its practices May 26, and the program runs through July 25. The cost is $40.

Golf
The Brighton Early Rotary Club is seeking sponsors and golfers for its second annual Golf Tournament at 7:30 a.m., June 13, at the Heritage Todd Creek Golf Course, 8455 Heritage Drive in Thornton. Proceeds from the outing will go directly to helping Brighton area kids.
In addition to the golf outing the club will be offering a unique golf ball drop. Raffle tickets are available. Participants of the drop can win a $1,000 cash first prize, $500 second prize or a $250 third prize. Golf balls will be dropped on the golf course from a hovering helicopter with the winning golf balls landing closest to the pin.
