Rose Aragon, 89, of Brighton died Aug. 26, 2009.
Rose was born Nov. 10, 1919, to Richard Jaramillo in Tierra Maria, N.M. Her mother is unknown, but she was adopted by Fedencia V. Jaramillo. She came to Denver in 1935. She married Paul Aragon Feb. 7, 1938. After they married, they moved to Brighton and had 11 children.
Survivors include children, Tony (Mary) Aragon of Denver, Joe Aragon of Brighton, Danny (Petra) Aragon of Brighton, Josie (Joe) Trujillo of Brighton, Patricia Sandoval of Brighton, Roberta Salias of Commerce City, Rachel (Sam) Sandoval of Brighton, Loretta (Jesus) Ontiveros of Brighton; 33 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three children; and her husband.
Funeral Mass was Aug. 31 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Brighton
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
