THORNTON -- Riverdale Ridge's Brihanna Crittendon scored 29 points to lead her team to a 61-16, home-floor win over the Elizabeth Cardinals in the first round of the state 4A girls basketball playoffs Feb. 21.
Payton Meinke added 10 points, and Gabby Herr contributed seven.
The Cardinals' top scorer was Sadie Schmidt, who scored eight. Brighid Griffin added four.
The loss ended Elizabeth's season. The Cardinals posted an 11-3 record. Riverdale Ridge (21-3) moves into the second round and a date with Lamar at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, on the Ravens' floor.
