Nancy Roberta Vynckier, 73, of Longmont, died Nov. 5, 2008, at her home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Denver, to Roy Edward and Bertha Thompson (Blakeley) Erickson. Nancy was born and raised surrounded with a large extended family in South Denver. She graduated from South High School. Nancy took many classes at local community colleges in accounting and business management.
Her first job was at Mountain Bell in Englewood. Nancy was active in family farming in Weld County, primarily in Fort Lupton and Keenesburg. Nancy married Donald Vynckier in 1958 in Denver. They later divorced. She moved to Longmont in 1996. Nancy attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Shari Vynckier of Longmont; a granddaughter; her sisters, Julie Hendee and Amy Ostrander; Coralie Quintrall and Jodi Blakeley; eight cousins; six nieces and nephews; 12 grand nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her son, Brent Alan Vynckier and her parents.
A memorial service was Nov. 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Cremation was at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later time at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties and sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
