Equipment drive

John Ablutz's community service project at Prairie View High School involves new and gently used baseball gear.

The school and Brighton Youth Baseball Association are planning an equipment drive from noon to 3 p.m.,  Saturday, Feb. 7 and Feb. 14, at the BYBA complex on Jessup Street near Brighton High School.

Ablutz said he is looking for all sorts of gear, including bats, gloves, helmets, catcher’s gear and training aids.
