Curtis Leonard Hensch

    Curtis Leonard Hensch, 63, of Brighton, passed away July 17, 2009. He was born Jan. 22, 1946, in Fergus Falls, Minn., to Leonard and Agnes (Fester) Hensch. Curtis was raised in southern Minnesota. He married Loretta Galatovich in St. Paul, Minn., Sept. 18, 1965. They moved to Hayward, Wis., where he owned and operated Hayward Transfer. Curtis was a volunteer fireman for the city of Hayward for many years and he also was involved in the Jaycee organization.

    In 1995, Curtis and Loretta moved to Denver. RAC Transport Co. employed Curtis as a line haul driver.

    He was an avid race car fan and loved going to the races and baseball games, camping and riding his Harley with his wife by his side. His favorite vacation property was Cozumel. He and Loretta enjoyed lying on the beach and snorkeling.

    Survivors include his wife; son Leonard (Karen) Hensch of Sheboygan, Wis.; daughters, Dana (Jay) Goldstein of Ogden, Utah, and Taffy Ann; three grandchildren, Vanessya Hensch, Nicole and Michael Goldstein; sister Carol (Don) Hamann of White Bear Lake, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews and long time friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; mother, Agnes and stepfather, Ran Renneke.

    A viewing is at 5 p.m., July 23, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m., both at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton. The funeral will be at 10 a.m., July 24, at St. Williams Catholic Church, Fort Lupton.
