COMMERCE CITY – The Adams 14 Board of Education seeks nomination of candidates for board birectors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election Nov. 3
Two directors will be elected for a term of office of four years. To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
Interested candidates should file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 50 eligible electors registered to vote in the regular biennial school election.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at Adams 14 Educational Support Services, 5291 E. 60th Ave. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Completed petitions should be submitted to assistant secretary to the board of eucation Monica Avina, the district’s designated election official, no later than 4 p.m. Aug. 28.
