Update
Brighton and Prairie View earned slots in the postseason baseball tournaments this weekend.
Prairie View, which is making its first venture into the tournament, plays at Broomfield, #1 Eagle Way, at 10 a.m. May 2. The winner faces either Fort Lupton or Montrose at 3 p.m.
Brighton faces former Skyline League rival Cherokee Trail at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Regis High School, 6400 S. Lewiston Way. The winner of that faces either Regis or Legacy in the district championship at 3 p.m.
The weather forecast for the weekend calls for rain both days. In case of bad weather, BHS athletic director Mike Stoffler, who was a member of the selection committee for the tournament, said the playoff games could be played Sunday.
Updates later in the weekend.
