My oldest baby had to have her fourth set of ear tubes put in last week. This was our first surgery in Colorado and at the Denver Children’s Hospital.
It was a wonderful experience and probably the the most efficient surgery we have ever had. The nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists ... they were all fabulous. What a blessing because they all helped the day go as smooth as possible.
The first surprise we had was that we didn’t have to pay a parking fee. I pulled in but the machine wouldn’t print me a ticket. So, I parked and then asked at the front desk of the hospital where I was supposed to pay. I was told that if you arrive early enough that the machine doesn’t work yet and that means that your parking is free for the day. Talk about “You had me at hello.” What a welcome to the Children’s Hospital.
